I’m excited to write that I’ve started teaching! I want to blog about it because this year I’m teaching Children’s Literature and Young Adult Literature at a University in New Jersey. I’m so fortunate to have 50+ students who are all smart and actively engaged!
This week, my children’s literature students wrote children’s stories based on morals from Aesop’s fables and my young adult literature class had a brillant debate on darkness in YA! Next week, we’re comparing and contrasting Disney’s Little Mermaid with Hans Christian Andersen’s original version in Children’s Lit. In YA lit, we are discussing Nancy Drew and those Hardy Boys!
I know it’s crazy that this is my real life! Here’s to a great fall!
